Technology Learning Center
Students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade have a formal computer
class once a week in a modern lab with 36 networked computers. A dedicated server controls all student and faculty Internet
access. There is also wifi access campus-wide. Technology objectives range from the
simple to the complex. Younger students learn start-up/shut-down procedures, use of input devices (e.g., mouse, keyboard), and
keyboarding. Older students learn file management, the use
of spreadsheets and databases, PowerPoint presentations, and movie making.
An iPad Program is incorporated into all class levels,
from the Transitional Kindergarten to the 8th grade to stimulate student
learning and advance preparedness for tomorrow's digitally demanding
careers. This digital instruction is a supplement to weekly sessions in
the Technology Learning Center.
- In TK-1st, students have an iPad "center."
- In 2nd through 4th grades, the school provides iPads to each student on a shared basis.
- In 5th through 8th grades, each student has the use of an iPad as a tool to perform curriculum assignments.
